i have windows vista ultimate and an lcd monitor. when i go into the monitor oprions and try to change the refresh rate it only has 60 herts, and thats it, i cant chage it becaue there is only 60 hertz in the option. how can i change the refresh rate to a diferent setting?How to change monitor refresh rate??
The option available there is determined by the graphic card, if the hardware support the refresh rate, then you have the other choice, otherwise you have to use that rate.
The only thing that you might want to try is to find out the make of your graphic card, say if it is a nvidia Geforce 8800XT, then go to Nvidia web site and download the latest video driver and install it on your pc.
Recheck the setting, see if you got more option after that.
