I recently bought a new laptop (HP Pavailion with the Intel HD Graphics Card) but when I connect it to my existing LCD external computer monitor (Lenovo D221), I get a shakey image on the monitor. I've checked the resolution setting. I've checked that the monitor works with other computers. I tried to adjust the refresh rate on the new laptop, but it does not allow me to change it from the only setting of 60 Hz.

check your cables, or maybe your electrical frequency fluctuate....
