Anyways my max screen resolution is 1024 * 800 (optimal, the one that is the best for a 15'4wxga inch LCD) and i can't change my refresh rate. The only available is 60hertz. It's painful for the eyes, you can see it flicker and it drives me mad! Is there any way to change this? a program o smthin?

You can try updating your video cards drivers from their site.

Maybe then it will allow you to increase your refresh rate.

Ah, I see, the guy below knows more about the specific model of video card. thumbs up m8How to Increase Dell inspiron 1501 NoteBook Screen Refresh Rate From Default 60 HZ?
your graphics adapter (x1150) can only output resolutions at set refresh rates. Unfortunately the only option for 1024x800 is 60Hz. However if you were to reduce your resolution I bet higher refresh rates would be available.

If you are on an LCD I don't see why you are having a problem with 60Hz, most typically run there.
